Our Mission

The Waawiyaatanong NDN Market exists to honor and celebrate the vibrant culture of Native and First Nations artists and vendors of the Great Lakes Region by providing a platform to showcase Indigenous fine art, beadwork, quillwork, and more! We aim to support emerging artists and create a space for cultural exchange and economic empowerment. 

Recognizing the lack of representation for Native artists in our community, we, as Native artists, saw the need to launch the Waawiyaatanong NDN Market. Our inaugural market in winter 2022 was a resounding success! Stay tuned for our upcoming market - we can't wait to showcase more of our work to you!
